Sept. 1 - Oct.4 SEASON of CREATION
From September 1 to October 4, Christians around the world unite to pray and care for creation. It’s the “Season of Creation,” and it’s happening from Paris to Pittsburgh, Pretoria to La Paz. To begin this observance, Pope Francis in 2016 designated September 1 as a World Day of Prayer for Creation. The Season closes on October 4, Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. From Sept. 1 to Oct. 4, we invite you to join Pope Francis in praying for Creation.
Global Climate Action Summit will take place from September 12-14 in San Francisco. It will bring leaders and people together from around the world to “Take Ambition to the Next Level.” It will be celebrate the extraordinary achievements of states, regions, cities, companies, investors and citizens with respect to climate action. It will also be a launch pad for deeper commitments and accelerated action that can put the globe on track to prevent dangerous climate change and realize the historic Paris Agreement.
