Sept. 1 - Oct.4 SEASON of CREATION

From September 1 to October 4, Christians around the world unite to pray and care for creation. It’s the “Season of Creation,” and it’s happening from Paris to Pittsburgh, Pretoria to La Paz. To begin this observance, Pope Francis in 2016 designated September 1 as a World Day of Prayer for Creation. The Season closes on October 4, Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. The 2018 theme is "Walking Together". Visit the Season of Creation website to learn of the many ways to observe the Season of Creation. There will be events taking place around the globe. 1. transportation
  2. energy use
  3. diet

Each of these three areas represents an opportunity to save more than 0.8 tonnes of CO2 per capita per year. The  infographic below compares all actions of one individual on a life cycle basis, under current average conditions in developed countries.
