World Water Day - March 22

In 1993, the United Nations General Assembly officially designated March 22 as World Water Day. World Water Day is coordinated by UN-Water in collaboration with governments and partners. This is a day set aside by the United Nations to give international attention to water issues in every country. More people die from unsafe water than from all forms of violence, including war, says the United Nations Secretary General’s statement. This year the theme is, Waste Water.
