Assembly 2024
On Saturday, June 15th, 2024, Holy Union Sisters and Associates gathered at St. Mary’s church in North Attleboro, MA for our Annual Assembly. The day was well attended and was moderated by our dear friend Sr. Florence Hee. Sr. Kathee Corrigan and Sr. Mary Lou Sullivan organized the day and shaped the agenda, giving key talks on the happenings of the last year, including the Vision and Calls from the Collegial Assembly, the Universal Church’s Synod, as well as the current LCWR initiative on Transforming Grace.
The day was filled with meaningful presentations and reflections on these topics as well as a financial report from Karen Francisco, our Chief Financial Officer. Quiet time for prayer, reflection and contemplative discussion deepened our learning and understanding of these three primary topics. Of course a lovely lunch was provided, and the day ended with our thanks and congratulations to our Archivist, Sam McAdoo, for the extraordinary work he has recently completed on organizing, cataloging, and transporting an enormous number of documents, files and artifacts, to their new home at Santa Clara University in California. We wish Sam great success in his next endeavor!
