The discernment process of the 33rd Collegial Assembly of the Holy Union Sisters in Nemi, Italy from July 25 to August 10, led to the election of Sister Caroline Njah, Superior General, and General Councilors: Sisters Yvette Sam, Annemarie Egan, and Michele Totman who will serve for six years.
As our Collegial Assembly began to come to a close were were able to attend an audience with the Pope. He was thrilled to meet a fellow Argentinian, Sr. Ilsa Jofré, former general councilor.
July 28, 2023 – We Holy Union Sisters are holding a Collegial Assembly in Nemi, Italy, from July 24 to August 10th. The Collegial Assembly meets every six years and includes elected representatives and staff from the various areas of the congregation.
On June 27th, the Leadership Team of the Holy Union Sisters hosted an appreciation luncheon for their staff and Sisters who participated on committees or served in administrative roles over the last five years.
June 24th the Feast of the Birth of St. John the Baptist, patron of our Founder, Father Jean Baptiste Debrabant, is a major Holy Union feast and the day our sisters in Cameroon renew their vows.
In early June, the Anchor Bay Community had a notion for a picnic! With COVID retreating rapidly at long last, it was time to get together and relax a bit. The Sisters decided Colt State Park would be a lovely location and set about reaching out to as many Sisters as could make it.
On Friday May 26th several Holy Union Sisters gathered for a Memorial Day prayer service at St. Francis Cemetery in Pawtucket, RI.
Cardinal Timothy Dolan recently visited Rikers Island in New York to celebrate Mass and later offered a special blessing for our Sr. Margaret McCabe.
Holy Union Sisters and Associates gathered on Saturday March 25th at various locations to renew their vows and promises.
