Gathering for the Feast of the Annunciation

On April 8th at St. Anthony’s Church in Taunton, many Holy Union Sisters and Associates from Taunton, Fall River and Brockton gathered to celebrate the Feast of the Annunciation of the Lord. The feast is traditionally celebrated on March 25th. This year, because the feast fell during Holy Week, it was observed on April 8th.   Holy Union Sisters in all areas of the congregation renewed their vows on this day and shared greetings with each other.  Our thanks to Fr. Freddie Babiczuk, Pastor of the Taunton North Collaborative, who was the main celebrant for the day as we welcomed three new Associates to our community.

Sisters in attendance joined in renewing her vows, and Associates renewed their promises to live a life in support of our charism of Union and to continue their efforts to reveal God’s love at the heart of the world, as is stated in our constitutions. The three new associates, Cindy Babiczuk, Taunton; Beatrice Pereira, Taunton; and Rachel Njubi, Fall River, made their first commitment and received their Associate symbol.

Following Mass and the renewing of vows and promises, many gathered in the St. Anthony’s parish hall, where we enjoyed each other’s’ company and a lovely luncheon.

Below you will find a photo gallery of pictures from the day.
