Happy 102nd Birthday Sr. Laurette!
Sept. 24, 2024
On September 24th, Sisters Bernadette Sullivan, Mary Catherine Burns, Marilyn Bearne, Mary Lou Sullivan and Kathee Corrigan visited Clifton Nursing Home to celebrate with Sr. Laurette DeChamplain (you may remember her as Sr. Albina Marie) on her 102nd birthday!
Sister Laurette was delighted to see everyone as we gathered for lunch, cake, and gifts, featuring Sr. Laurette’s favorite, a lobster roll along with a glass of beer in her New England Patriots mug (her first birthday gift of the day). The conversation was light and full of laughter as we discussed all the recent activity of the sisters, including Sister’s cousin, Sr. Adrienne DeChamplain, celebrating her 85th Jubilee the previous week. We reminisced about Sr. Laurette’s life and ministries, and we were all so pleased to see how well she felt.
Lunch was followed by a lovely cake and gifts, which Sr. Laurette enjoyed. The DeChamplain family is truly blessed with the gift of longevity. Not only is Sr. Laurette’s cousin, Sr. Adrienne, also 102, but her younger sister just turned 100 recently.
Please keep the DeChamplain family in your prayers as their journey as Holy Union Sisters continues. May God continue to bless them all.
