Holy Union Sisters Gather for our 2021 Assembly.

On July 28th, 29th, and 30th of 2021, the Holy Union Sisters gathered again for their annual Assembly.  COVID forced us to have a virtual Assembly in 2020, using technologies from Zoom and YouTube to allow us to gather and share our discussions, prayers, and celebrations.  This year we were together again in Warwick, RI at the Radisson Hotel to meet, pray and enjoy each other’s company.  The technologies we learned last year allowed us to have a “hybrid” assembly this year, with a half dozen Sisters, for whom travel has become difficult, joining us via Zoom on a flat screen monitor.  It was the next best thing to being there, as the saying goes.

During our three days, we discussed the future of religious life and our congregation, celebrated our thirteen Jubilarians, remembered those who had died, prayed for our family and friends, and gathered for the Liturgy thanking God for another year together and asking for the grace to continue to serve those at the heart of the world.

Our moderator was Sr. Florence Hee, and our keynote speaker was Sr. Carol Zinn, both of whom did a wonderful job, and left us with much to reflect on.  We look forward to next year when again we gather and look back at the year that was, and forward to the year yet to come.  Click the pictures below to see larger versions of them and then scroll using the left and right arrows.
