The Feast of St. Francis of Assisi is celebrated throughout the world on October 4th. In recent years this feast has marked the end of the Season of Creation. As we conclude the Season of Creation and celebrate St. Francis of Assisi, Pope Francis will issue his new apostolic exhortation “Laudate Deum” as an update to the encyclical Laudato Si’. At 2 p.m. ET, the Laudato Si Movement will host an online event to discuss the content of the exhortation with scientists, religious and lay people.
