Our Jubilarian Celebration for 2022

On August 26, 2022 we gathered to celebrate Mass in honor of our seven Jubilarians for 2022.  Our Jubilarians included Sr. Ruth Beaudoin (75 years), Sr. Joan Guertin (70 years), Sr. Cecile Mousseau (70 years), Sr. Mary Bridget McGettigan (70 years), Sr. Mary Catherine Burns (65 years), Sr. Jane Newcomb (65 years) and Sr. Lorraine Sirois (65 years).  Holy Union Associate, Eileen McIntyre (25 years) was also honored, as our entire group renewed their vows and promises.  The Mass was celebrated at St. Anthony Church in Taunton, MA by Fr. Fred Babiczuk and concelebrant Fr. Edmond Derosier of St. Anthony Church in Ayer/Shirley.  The Mass was beautiful and featured an inspiring homily by Fr. Edmond Derosier, and was livestreamed for all to see via a Youtube link.  To read Fr. Edmond Derosier’s homily please click HERE.  We congratulate all our Sisters as well as Eileen McIntyre on their milestones, and pray for blessings upon their continued service.  Our gratitude to Fr. Fred and Fr. Edmond for their presence and for their many years of support for the Holy Union community.

Mass was followed by a lovely luncheon in the parish hall, where there was plenty to eat and warm wishes and congratulations for all.  Many thanks to the staff at St. Anthony for their kindness and hard work hosting us, as well as to the musicians who added to the Mass’ beauty and meaning.  All in attendance were entertained by “The Starlettes”, led by Sr. Helen McPeek, with great enthusiasm and creativity!  The day was both meaningful and wonderfully enjoyable, thanks to all those who worked to make the day flow so smoothly.

We were delighted to be joined by so many Holy Union Associates, whose commitment and support we treasure.  It was a joy to see so many gather for this wonderful celebration and to spend precious time together.

Below is a series of pictures from the day.  We hope you enjoy them all!
