On the Feasts of All Saints and All Souls We Pray for Your Deceased Loved Ones

Every year as we approach the feasts of All Saints and All Souls we ask our Sisters, Associates, donors, benefactors, families and friends to send us the names of their deceased loved ones so we can pray for them.  They list their names on the little purple sheets which we provide, and they send them on to us.  We distribute them to our Sisters who reside in several locations and they pray for them during these feasts and all through the month of November.

As they are now part of the Communion of Saints, we pray for them as they intercede for us and together we continue to care for one another just as we did in life.  As the poet Thomas Campbell wrote,  “To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die”.  We invite you to join us in  praying for our dearly departed loved ones, as together pray:

Creator God, we entrust to you, the souls of our beloved dead.
May they be welcomed in the embrace of your infinite mercy.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon them.
May they rest in peace.  Amen.
