Picnic at Colt State Park

In early June, the Anchor Bay Community had a notion for a picnic! With COVID retreating rapidly at long last, it was time to get together and relax a bit. The Sisters decided Colt State Park would be a lovely location and set about reaching out to as many Sisters as could make it. On June 11th, Holy Union Sisters from communities in Anchor Bay, Filmore St., Taunton, Stoughton, Prosper at Fall River, Christopher Heights, and Cedar Dell converged on Colt State Park in Bristol, RI. Everyone brought their own sandwich and drink and some brought folding chairs too. The weather cooperated beautifully and everyone enjoyed a glorious day relaxing along the edge of Narragansett Bay.

Some blew bubbles, some took strolls by the water, and Sr. Cecilia even rode her bike while others simply relaxed and got caught up on all that is going on in their communities, ministries, and families and friends. We hope you take some time this summer to reconnect with those you haven’t seen in a while as together we all continue to heal from a difficult few years.
