Wow!  School is in Session at Lighthouse School!

Sept. 16, 2024

The Lighthouse School has opened its new building on their Chelmsford campus in time for the new school year!  And it is absolutely beautiful!

Back in March we posted news about a major new undertaking which was under way at Lighthouse School.  This school, which was started by Sr. Theodora Martel (Sr. Gabrielle Lucie) in 1967 in one room in the basement of a Holy Union Retirement home, is now proud to open its latest addition on their Chelmsford campus.  Focused on children with a diverse array of learning challenges, this extraordinary school has grown dramatically and consistently for fifty-seven years, and now welcomes students from over 50 surrounding school districts in need of their expertise.

The new building is bright and airy and is designed specifically to serve the needs of the children who will learn there for decades, and perhaps generations, to come!  Plans are currently in the works for the official ribbon cutting and building dedication ceremonies.  We are planning a full article with photos and comments from the Lighthouse leadership team in our January Response newsletter.

We congratulate the leadership, staff, faculty, and students at Lighthouse School as together you begin this wonderful new chapter in your history!  To learn more about Lighthouse School click this link:  https://www.lighthouseschool.org/
