Holy Union Hosts a Staff Appreciation Luncheon
Tuesday June 27th, The Holy Union Sisters gathered at McGovern’s Family Restaurant in Fall River, MA for a luncheon in appreciation for the staff and Sisters who had participated on committees, or worked in administrative roles over the five years of our current Leadership Team’s term. It was a gloriously sunny day, and the room overlooked scenic Cook Pond, as we all enjoyed each other’s company and a lovely lunch. The room bustled with Sisters who helped guide and shape many initiatives, ministries, and committees as well as staff members who cared for the health of our Sisters, maintained our facilities, managed our offices, tended to our financial accounting, managed our archives, and oversaw our mission advancement activities.
The Province Leadership Team addressed the group, expressing their appreciation for all the work which had been done since their term began in 2018. It was a particularly eventful period which saw a significant shift in Sisters’ housing, a relocation of our offices to Fall River, the hiring several new staff members, and of course COVID! The charism of union was on full display, as it is most everyday, and we gave thanks for the gift of each other, as we each play a role in the life and journey of Holy Union. Thank you also to our wonderful friends and supporters who make our ministries and vocations possible.
